My Journey: A Passion for Art and Storytelling
For me, photography isn't about perfectly posed smiles; it's about the art of unearthing connection, the beautiful chaos of real life. This fascination began quietly in high school art classes and deepened through years and advanced studies in Adobe and Digital Media. While pursuing my Associate's in Arts Degree, life offered its greatest inspiration: my children. Their every giggle and triumph became a masterclass in seizing the moment, an urgent and joyful mission to capture every fleeting moment of their growth. That's when my genuine passion took root and transformed a hobby into an unshakable devotion.
My first DSLR wasn't just a gift; it was the spark that ignited a vibrant obsession with moments you simply can't stage. While balancing a full-time job, I eagerly embraced opportunities photographing portraits, volunteering in worship arts with my church, and diligently finding the authentic pulse of my unique style. By 2023, A.N. Ward Photography officially came to life. A pivotal experience soon followed as I became the Official Photographer for Tee Off For a Veteran, a charity supporting our service members. That powerful experience unexpectedly illuminated my deep connection and love for events and wedding photography, where bonding with my clients became deeper and more meaningful. Now, in 2025, contributing to Huntersville Living Magazine fuels my continuing passion for capturing vibrant portraits, bringing me full circle to the art of storytelling I cherish today.
